Rouse Hill is a major regional development in Sydney’s north-western expansion corridor. A new town centre is being constructed concurrently with new residential communities.
TCA was commissioned to design a small Sales and Information centre for prospective purchasers of land and land/dwelling packages. The brief for this project was unusual in that the sales and office facility will eventually be converted into two attached dwellings following completion of the anticipated seven year sales program.
This requirement had a high impact upon the physical form of the project. The building has a three storey corner element that is highly visible from the main vehicular approach to the precinct. This is a contemporary interpretation of a clock-tower, which is a signature design feature in all of the clients residential Sales Centres.
The project deployed a range of façade materials that are synergistic with a residential architectural character prescribed by the Master Plan.
