Location: Menangle Park, NSW
Date Completed: August 2004
Photography: Adrian Boddy

This project formed the second stage of construction of a new Campus heart at an existing school in Sydney’s south-western suburbs.

The building separates the two programmatic components into a linear sequence of spaces housing the College Administration, and a large space under a broad roof that contains the Library.

A series of discreet spaces required for E-Learning, Debating and Senior Reading have been conceived as smaller structures sited independently below the main roof, and are expressed within the primary façades of the Centre.

The building is sited in a Mine Subsidence area, necessitating flexible structure and detailing of lightweight construction to minimise potential movement damage in the future.
